Raquel Shutt is the President of Golden Rule Meetings, bringing over 20 years of expertise in the meetings and events industry. Known for her energy, creativity, and leadership, Raquel is passionate about creating exceptional experiences for corporate clients nationwide.

Raquel earned her MBA from Loyola University Maryland in 2004, during which she founded Wedding Savvy, Inc. Over the next 17 years, Wedding Savvy became a nationally recognized and award-winning event planning firm, renowned for its client-centric approach and unparalleled service. After successfully growing and evolving the business, Raquel sold it in 2019 to focus on spending meaningful time with her family during her children’s high school years.

She continued offering corporate meeting and event planning services under the brand Advantage WSI and, in 2023, rebranded to Golden Rule Meetings. This new chapter allows her to blend her passion for hospitality with her extensive experience in delivering high-caliber corporate events. In addition, Raquel continues to consult selectively on social events, sharing her expertise with discerning clients.
